Friends, the mood is heavy today. Many are feeling let down, shocked, disgusted, scared.
It’s okay to admit you’re not okay and you need support. It’s also okay - necessary, even - to continue to find joy, to laugh, to smile when you can. And it’s okay to feel energized and ready to tackle the work anew. We need the entire spectrum.
Take the time to process as you need. Grieve. Scream. Go for a run. Stay hydrated. Do some coloring. Meditate. Write. Draw. Sing. Organize. Bake. Teach. Learn. Do whatever brings you joy and healing. Today, let's prioritize our well-being and connect in community. That is where we will find our strength, our antidote, our hope, and our courage.
Tomorrow, we get back in the fight. The work has not changed. The queer community has always fought uphill for survival, and we’re not stopping today. We carry each other forward and fight for as many of us as we can, everywhere we can, every way we can, just like our queer ancestors and elders before us.
Malden Pride Coalition is still here, and we still advocate for the dignity of all people and their right to safety, bodily autonomy, and liberation from systems of oppression.
